50 Cent Enlists Pop Stars For New CD
Rapper's Third Album Will Feature The Likes Of Justin Timberlake And Mary J. Blige.
On his first two albums, 50 Cent was the main star with little room for supporting players. With the exception of appearances by the likes of friends like Eminem and Young Buck, most of the songs were pure 50.
On his upcoming album, though, he's more willing to share the mic.
"Curtis," due out in September 11th 2007, features a who's who of pop stars: Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Akon and Mary J. Blige are among those who collaborate on the rapper's third CD. Sonraki  Read details
50 Cent in Get Rich or Die Tryin'50 Cent To Play Himself In Movie Debut
Things are still in the preliminary stages right now, but 50 Cent has an all-star production squad working at making it happen. Sopranos writer/executive producer Terrance Winter is writing the screenplay as we speak. Geffen CEO Jimmy Iovine and Eminem manager Paul Rosenberg are responsible for sealing the deal with Paramount and MTV films.
Speaking of Slim Shady, the whole project sounds suspiciously like Eminem’s 8 Mile movie, which was pretty much based on Em's own back story. That project (also put together by Iovine and Rosenberg) raked in major cash at the box office — $117 million dollars U.S to be exact. It also won Em an Oscar and a Grammy for his song "Lose Yourself."

50 Cent Talks About the Movie
There are a lot of stereotypes about rappers out there. The thug life, the guns, the drugs, the women… Love it or leave it, 50 Cent has seen a lot for a 29-year-old man. You may not agree with everything he says in his raps or in interviews, but he's still undeniably compelling.
If you've read about "50," as he is referred to by his seemingly endless entourage, you've already heard the stories. Born Curtis Jackson, there was the drug-dealing youth in Jamaica Queens, the death of his mother when he was only 8 years old and the shooting that nearly took his life just as his first album was set for release.
